Desirée Witberg

Desirée Witberg (1968) graduated in Dutch law at the University of Leiden. She has been active in the firm as a partner since December 2006. Prior to this she served as the labour law department chairperson at Keizers Poelman Advocaten in Eindhoven. Before that she was a senior assistant at AKD Prinsen van Wijmen also in Eindhoven.

Fields of expertise
Desirée is active in the field of labour law and completed a post-academic course in labour law at Erasmus University in Rotterdam for this purpose. Amongst other things, she specialises in collective labour law, restructuring, worker representation issues, matters pertaining to statutory directors and the law governing the dismissal of individuals.

A large proportion of her clients may be found in the hospital and health care sector. In addition, she also serves various clients in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and advises them as well as other clients in relation to those aspects of their business operations pertaining to labour law. She assists her clients in the event of mass redundancy proceedings and in connection with harmonisation processes, as well as in relation to individual labour disputes. Apart from this, she gives seminars as well as in-house courses and workshops on labour law. In addition, she is a member of the Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland [Association of Labour Law Attorneys in the Netherlands] (VAAN).
